Kōdō workshop

Kōdō (“The Way of Fragrance”) is the Japanese art of appreciating scents, which originated in the sixth century. It is a traditional ceremony, much like Sado (the tea ceremony) and Kado (ikebana flower arranging), and is regarded as one of the most refined elements of Japanese culture. Ms Mina Hayakawa from Kyoto is one of the few contemporary practitioners of this ceremony. In collaboration with the Waza no Michi Foundation and the KVVAK, she will be giving a Kōdō workshop lasting approximately ninety minutes on 27 May.
